A 47-year-old software developer presents to the office for pain in his right shoulder that radiates to the contralateral temple, mostly in the morning for 10 years, with a frequency of 2 episodes per week. The patient reports having to take 1 or 2 ibuprofen tablets in the early hours of the morning otherwise the pain in the head becomes unbearable.<\/p>\n
He reports a cough when distended from probable reflux. History of a previous fracture of the left radius.<\/p>\n
We proceed by evaluating the joint excursion of the cervical spine which is limited to torsion.<\/p>\n
A somato-visceral origin is hypothesized due to previous tension, fracture of AC, sitting on the computer 8-10 hours a day.<\/p>\n
An th, an sc, an cl bi, an ca sx, re sc dx, re cl sx is treated. The patient reports improvement in symptoms and near resolution of pain upon rotation of the cervical spine.<\/p>\n
A week later, the patient returned to the office reporting a marked improvement in his symptoms, so much so that he did not have to take any medications except for Sunday morning after an evening with friends where he drank spirits. It now reports an ever-present 3\/10 pain that can reach 5\/10.<\/p>\n
However he now reports mostly night-time pain at 4 am that wakes him up.<\/p>\n
He also reports intolerance to fried foods that stimulate neck pain. This information had not been reported at the first session. No history of liver changes unless possible pancreatic disorder that he cannot specify well.<\/p>\n
A viscerosomatic problem of the visceral sequence is hypothesized.<\/p>\n
The lateral-lateral tension line manifests itself at the most sensitive.<\/p>\n
Treatment with an-la-lu2 dx is started. When the point is resolved, the patient no longer feels the pain in his head and neck. We proceed with an-la-pv1 dx which also improves the joint excursion of the neck which was still limited to the lateral flexion left. We continue with an-la-sc dx which resolves quickly. The joint excursion is perfectly symmetrical, and the patient reports a feeling of lightness to the head.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
